Microsoft Security Essentials voted best (free) antivirus software

AV-Comparatives has looked into the current crop of free antivirus programs, and crowned Microsoft’s new Security Essentials the best of the lot.

Antivirus-Results That is pretty remarkable for a product that is new, and from a company generally regarded by stalwarts in that sector as a abecedarian.

Well, the student has learned – mostly from the ForeFront products – and is all grown up.

I wonder how the product would place against commercial products such as the excellent Symantec Norton AV, and F-Secure AV….
